2013 sponsors… coming soon!
Hi all.
Please excuse the lengthy delay of over 2 months since my last post- have been trying to get myself sorted post-Uni with some gainful employment and my own residence! Still some way to go, but getting there on both fronts.
I’ve also been working on sorting out sponsors for the 2013 season.
Old friends and loyal advisers Cyclefit are back for another round, as are the great guys supporting them at Balance Physio. Handling the bikes, their set-ups, and how my body interacts with them is of ultimate importance for my performance, and these guys do it best. There are none better. Truly.
On the coaching fronts, I am extremely lucky to be able to rely on the skills and experience of JJ at Koolstof, whose years of research and real-world cycling practice give me fantastic guidance in all my training. He is ably supported by Alan Pope and the wonderful staff at Uni of Exeter who continue to offer World-Class Strength & Conditioning support.
I’m also very pleased to announce that Neovite are coming on board this season, providing some NZ Colostrum to support my immune system as I put it through the mill of training.
All other sponsors are kinda in the air for now (hence the ‘under reconstruction’ warning on the sponsors page!), but watch this space for updates in the very near future.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to read these blogs or check on my updates- I really do appreciate you taking an interest and enjoy speaking to you about what I’m up to. If you have any questions or comments then do please feel free to contact me at the usual address- tom@tom-staniford.co.uk
A Briton in Brittany 12
(This blog a reproduction of the original published at http://cyclefit.co.uk/a-briton-in-brittany-12-)
It has been some time since I last took up my pen (Keyboard? Keys?) to pen a Cyclefit blog, but a lot has happened since the previous edition!
I won’t bore you with a relentless inundation of details, but:
- Finished University in France, moved back to UK
- Graduated from Exeter with the Bachelors of Law and from Rennes with the Masters of EU Law
- Job-searches in London fizzled out with the same distressing depletion as my overdraft, finally culminating in a bike crash
- Stitches to knee and head, cuts and bruises elsewhere. All well until the calf flared up with a phantom infection- cue readmittance and potent IV antibiotics- but all good now!
- Moved back to Parents’ house outside Exeter to save money, job-search ongoing.
- Visit to Hyde Park to watch the ‘men in bikinis’ (memorably termed by Phil) at the Olympic Triathlon. Well done Brownlee Bro’s!
Actually, that was pretty much relentless. Sorry!
I’m not really sure what else I have to add for now. Lots of job-searching going on, potential accommodation moves, etc in the very near future. Once I have got settled into permanent residence with equally regular employment I will let you all know.
Massive thanks to Phil, Jules, Barna, Robyn, Morgan and all the crew at Cyclefit who have continued to be brilliant friends and sponsors during all the upheaval and change this year. Once I’ve regained full fitness and focus I’ll be starting to lay the foundations to what will be a fantastic 2013. I feel naked now without a stripy jersey.
All that remains to be said is that perhaps it’s time to rename the blog? No longer in Brittany! Suggestions please on a postcard, to the usual address…. tom@tom-staniford.co.uk
